Harbour Town

The perfect little place to spend a beautiful afternoon, Harbour Town has plenty to offer those looking to make the best of a day of vacation. You’ll find plenty of shops such as boutique clothing, home décor, and furnishings. You can also find delightful crafts, jewelry, art, and other specialty items. Harbour Town also has plenty to offer for those looking for a nice meal. The Harbour Town Bakery & Café offers tasty baked goods, coffee, other drinks, and sandwiches. There are a few restaurants that look out over the water, a relaxing view and beautiful when the sun starts to dip below the horizon. Make sure to try some of the delicious from the source seafood while in Harbour Town as well. 

Harbour Town is also home to many great outdoor activities, and what better place to explore than Hilton Head. You can find kayak tours, rent jet skis, and even go aboard the pirate ship “Black Dagger” (perfect for the kids)! Don’t forget to visit the lighthouse for a beautiful view of the surrounding area! 

Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge

Spanning around 4,000 acres, the Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge is home to a great number of wildlife species right in the heart of the low country. This is a wonderful outdoor space to explore with miles of hiking and biking trails, as well as eco kayak tours, and a great place for birdwatching. It was established with a Plantation in the 18th Century by the Pinckney family and remains as one of the most important archeological sites in South Carolina, with over 115 historic locations. It is located right in-between Hilton Head and Mainland, so there is plenty of easy access for those looking for something to explore for a day!

Coligny Beach Park and Plaza

The busiest beach around Hilton Head, Coligny Beach is the perfect place for any type of group on vacation. Enjoy the beach and water right off the Atlantic Ocean with pristine white sands or take part in all of the great amenities located in the Park and Plaza. There are outdoor showers, changing rooms, and benches for those looking to relax after enjoying the sands. There is a theater, many restaurants for a great lunch or dinner, and during the warmer months you can enjoy live music in the warm summer air. The Park and Plaza even have local wi-fi should you need and wish to get some work done in a beautiful place. 

Coastal Discovery Museum

If you’re looking to learn about nature and the beautiful ecosystem that lives and breathes throughout Hilton Head, then make sure you visit the Coastal Discovery Museum. On 68 acres of preserved land, this is a great place to learn about the local wildlife, find out about the flora such as the beautiful live oaks, or attend the Bird’s-Eye View Theater for one of their many shows. The museum is also the location of the weekly farmers market and holds an annual art show.
